Ecosafariindonesia (ESI) is a private company owned by Eco Lodges Indonesia. ESI is the travel section of our lodges facilitating travel within Indonesia between our six far flung lodges, which are spread over nearly three thousand kilometers of Indonesia.

ESI is the only company in Indonesia specializing in wildlife experiences, sometimes in collaboration with other companies eg ” The Big Five Tour ” with Steppes Discovery of the UK showing visitors the Komodo Dragon, Orangutan, Sumatran Elephant, Sumatran Rhino and evidence (recent foot prints, smell of urine and very occasional sighting) of the Sumatran Tiger. We also promote bird and butterfly tours.

ESI offers around 45 tours from one or more lodges often linking lodges. One of our most famous tours is called “On either side of The Wallace Line” showing Komodo Dragons in the east with Orangutan, Rhinos and Elephants in the west. Other tours link places of interest in Indonesia (eg The Borobudur temple near Yogyakarta; other national park eg Bunaken in North Sulwesi) with our lodges. Other tours are across islands eg The Trans Flores Safari links our two Flores lodges and The Trans Java Safari linking Crawford and Udayana Lodges through Bogor, Yogyakarta and Bromo.

Rimba

In all tours at Rimba, you will experience a unique experience on the klotok (river boat) on the Sekonyer river; also lowland forest, see a variable number of 9 species of primates in the park + birds, crocodiles, butterflies and many small animals.
